m88 the question is, can the South Korea team repeat what happened in 2002 wherein they finished fourth overall. I can’t say we’re pleased with the draw, but we accept it. That is a big feat and they are the only team in Asia to reach that. And all fingers crossed across South Korea as they cheer their players to the 2010 FIFA World Cup 2010. Hopes are high and qualifying for the second round is one of their biggest hopes. Furthermore they appeared eight times already (including this year) and continuously since 1986 at World Cup event.
Let us see who will win in their first two games schedule on the 12th and 17th of June 2010 that of South Korea against Argentina and Greece. We have to qualify for the second round – that’s our objective for this World Cup,’
South Korea emerge as a winner among all Asians in the 2002 World Cup as they reached the semi finals and was declared fourth overall.
South Korea never lost in any of its 14 qualification matches, so that is another thing to consider and reason to be hopeful. They are fighting with the group of winners like Argentina, Nigeria and Greece for the first round and these are good teams as well.
The very famous Lee Young Pyo– South Korean football player — who is well famous for his speed and dribbling skills had this to say ” —- There will be no easy teams at the World Cup.

As for the room rates, well…if you have to ask, this probably isn’t your hotel.
All this good taste extends, naturally, to the hotel’s gastronomic Chevalier restaurant, helmed by hot young Michelin starred chef Shea Gallante, and lorded over by Le Grenouille’s legendary Charles Masson. Rather, it will be unceasingly locked in battle with the nearby Four Seasons, Viceroy and Park Hyatt over all that financial bigwig dosh and all those free-flowing oligarch rubles. To wit, hand-pleated silk wall coverings, stainless ribbed ceilings (for those who occasionally look up from their smartphone screens), parquet floors, marble wall treatments, and (count them) seventeen custom designed Baccarat chandeliers, all of it designed to veritably drench guests in la vie luxe.

m88 they believe they already adhere to high regulatory standards which are comparable to those in Britain and, as Allan Bell MHK, Isle of Man Economic Development Minister, noticed, “the UK Gambling Commission has no wish to duplicate the work that our Gambling Commission does in regulating our operators”.
In addition, the new licensing scheme may lead to the annulment of the so-called “white list”, which used to put online casino operators licensed in one of the named jurisdictions in a favourable position.
At the same time offshore gaming jurisdictions, such as Isle of Man seem to be unworried about the possible licensing changes. For UK gamblers this may mean that the number of available online casinos will be significantly reduced.

Even some industry giants have moved to smaller jurisdictions in order to avoid really high UK taxation. They wanted to be able to effectively compete with offshore online casinos and now it looks like they will have to consider moving back.
It is really nice that the British government is so much concerned about the safety of its citizens’ hard earned money, but the question is: will British gamblers really benefit from a crackdown on non-UK based online casinos?
Supposedly, according to the new rules, all casino operators hoping to run a gambling business in the UK will have to submit applications to the Gambling Commission and obtain another licence. It’s just the first step towards reclaiming taxes that had been lost when many of the UK online casinos went offshore.
It’s been all quite in the UK gambling industry until the FullTilt bombshell exploded. Although the Treasury is avoiding straightforward announcements, you will hardly find anyone who doesn’t understand the real reasons for this interference. A 10% tax rate is 10% less value for punters.” Indeed, British players will only lose if online casinos will want to compensate for their extra spending on taxes.. With the introduction of the new law they will not be able to operate and/or advertise in the UK, unless they get a licence from the British Gambling Commission. Remember the scandal with the British players being unable to get their money from this poker website? Well, the Department of Culture, Media and Sports is now determined to protect all UK players against the evils of offshore online casinos.

The discussions about contenders and pretenders is very heated every year, but as more and more teams improve via trades, free agent signings or draft picks, the line between being a total outsider and an outsider with enough potential to surprise is pretty thin…. I continue my series of blogs prior to the NBA season with a quick look into those teams, who are labelled “pretenders” overseas or putting it differently, are very likely to disappoint over the upcoming months. more
And that extra step is deliberate, says Brito of George Mason University.
“The fact that they are doing that seems to suggest that they themselves are not 100 percent sure that this will be seen as perfectly legal by regulators,” he says, “wherever they’re based.”
For now, I still have 0.8 Bitcoin in my account, worth about $13 — assuming that it’s not raided by the feds.

With no government ties, Bitcoin is used to buy everything from blogging services to Brooklyn-made cupcakes. We only do this one weird brand-new Internet protocol transaction that some of the nerds out there are calling money.”
Micon says it might be tough for the Feds to regulate what is just a piece of computer code and not real money.
I started to wonder if I broke the law by gambling online using Bitcoin. So I called the Justice Department. It declined to comment for this story.
But here’s the thing with gambling with Bitcoin: My winnings are still in Bitcoin. When I did so, Bitcoin, which has been around for a few years now, was fetching around $17 on most exchange sites. So, I created a Bitcoin account, and he shot me a few.
The first gambling site I tried was SatoshiDice, an online dice game specifically designed for Bitcoin. Theoretically, millions of dollars are being kept in the digital currency, and it’s increasingly being used by specialized online gambling websites. There’s no bank of any sort that we do. I ended up asking a friend with some Bitcoin to help — I told him I’d buy him a couple beers later. The dice-game company says it made the equivalent of over half a million dollars in profits in just six months of operation in 2012, accepting bets in Bitcoin. Honestly, it’s a pretty boring game. It’s basically cash.”

This month, Brito has been following news of SatoshiDice’s financial reports. It’s up to me to convert those back into dollars. “There is no Bitcoin company, there’s no Bitcoin building that regulators can get their hands on. “There’s no bank account. You just bet on whether a random dice roll will come up below a certain value.
After I bet 0.02 Bitcoin, SatoshiDice sent an email saying I won. In the last few years, the Justice Department has made it very clear: You can’t just open up an offshore casino online and start taking bets using actual money from the United States.
But last year, a couple of entrepreneurs asked themselves — what if you were only betting with Bitcoin?
“What Bitcoin does is that it totally circumvents that,” says Jerry Brito, who studies the currency as part of his work as a senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. It has since risen to more than $20.
It turns out that it’s really easy for someone to give you Bitcoin, but it’s less easy to just buy them from a third party. But that betting could turn into a legal black hole.
After all, no one knows if Bitcoin is money, a financial instrument or something else.
“We don’t have a bank account at Seals with Clubs,” says Bryan Micon, the spokesperson for SealsWithClubs.eu, a Bitcoin-based poker site. So, I bet the equivalent of 34 cents and I won 38 cents, meaning I came out a little bit ahead.
The federal government says online gambling is a no-no. But is Bitcoin gambling legal?

Last month, the president and CEO of the American Gaming Association testified before Congress and urged legislators to repeal their 7-year-old ban on Internet gambling.

Six other firms, including popular companies like WSOP.com and Ultimate Poker and other casinos like Caesars and the Golden Nugget, participated in the “soft play” launch of online gambling in New Jersey in November, the state’s Department of Gaming Enforcement Director Dave Rebuck said during a recent conference call.

Mega-entrepreneur Richard Branson’s Virgin Group is the latest entry in online gambling, teaming with the Tropicana Resort in Atlantic City and online game maker Gamesys to bring online poker, blackjack and slots to New Jersey this week. “The technology is rolling out this week.”
Globally, the business is even more lucrative. That doesn’t translate online,” DeGaris told FoxNews.com. Virgin could be holding a full house, but it could also fail before the flop.

Players must be at least 21 years old, and either reside in New Jersey or be in the state when they place their bets. U.K. Chris Christie validated the vice in the waning weeks of 2013, saying he hoped to rake in $1 billion in casino revenues this year, of which the state will collect a 17 percent tax.
But analysts are mostly rolling with Christie and the casinos. will catch up to the rest of the world and allow it at some point.”
Many Americans simply ignored the ban, he noted, as the country did during Prohibition in the ’20s.
“Slots and roulette are very visceral games, lots of bells and whistles. — notably sports betting.

“Those from other states can play, but they cannot wager,” Fenton said. will generate – in addition to tax revenue from the proceeds at casinos – approximately 22,000 new online gambling-related jobs, Freeman testified.
“Prohibition simply does not work,” Geoff Freeman told a House panel on Dec. Others predict the overall U.S. “Blackjack and poker have a very human element that’s lost online. “The federal government has tried the prohibition approach – specifically the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 and the Wire Act – and through multiple Justice Department crackdowns on offshore operators as well.”
Not everyone agrees with the odds. To put that into further context, Americans accounted for nearly 10 percent of the entire $33 billion worldwide online gaming market,” Freeman said.
And New Jersey isn’t alone; eight other states have bills in the works that will allow Internet gambling as well. If your phone is off, or if you’re too near state borders, you may not be allowed to play.
“Last year, before a single state authorized legal online gaming, Americans spent nearly $3 billion on illegal, unregulated offshore gaming sites. market could be worth as much as $9 billion in the coming years as other states, including California, legalize online wagering.
“In sports gambling, it’s about the bet,” DeGaris said. “If we are unable to determine that you are in New Jersey, you will be unable to play on Virgin Casino,” the site notes. “Blackjack, slots. But new laws across the nation are rolling the rules back — and lawmakers think they’re holding a royal flush.
“It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out,” said Laurence DeGaris, associate professor of marketing at the University of Indianapolis and an expert in Internet culture.
“There will be many games to play online in New Jersey,” Fenton told FoxNews.com. “That’s where I see the huge potential in online gambling, and I reckon the U.S

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver recently said it’s inevitable that legal sports betting could spread beyond Nevada, the only state that now allows it.
But New Jersey might not get a long-lasting edge.
“Everybody knows here that if you have a gentlemen’s bet or a small wager on any kind of sports contest, it makes you that much more…engaged in it,” Silver said at a sports forum in New York. And he hinted that his league might be less opposed than in the past, primarily because of the interest gambling generates. the stock market
NBA spokesman Mike Bass wouldn’t say if Silver’s comments represent a formal change in policy in the league. The National Football League and Major League Baseball declined to comment. Circuit Court of Appeals, Nos. government, called the law “yet another attempt” to allow sports betting “only under the conditions of the state’s choosing.”
“We are reviewing the opinion and considering our options,” said Paul Loriquet, a spokesman for state Attorney General Christopher Porrino.

New Jersey’s law banned wagers on state college teams and limited bets to people age 21 and older at casinos and racetracks.
Rendell acknowledged the law’s “salutary purpose” in trying to revive those troubled industries, but said PASPA does not unconstitutionally “commandeer” the state.

The sports organizations, backed by the U.S. The American Gaming Association, an industry trade group, wants PASPA repealed.
One dissenting judge thought the 2014 law permissible despite PASPA. The other thought PASPA was unconstitutional because it violated state sovereignty.
“We were relying on having sports betting to give a big boost to our ailing Atlantic City casinos and our suffering racetracks,” state Senator Raymond Lesniak, a Democrat from Elizabeth who sponsored the 2014 law and a 2011 voter referendum allowing sports betting, said in an interview. “It’s just wrong for Congress to deny New Jersey what the state of Nevada has.”
Nevada bookmakers made $231.8 million on sports betting in 2015, the state has said.
A federal appeals court on Tuesday said New Jersey cannot legalize sports betting, in a big defeat for supporters of the years-long effort to allow such wagers in the state.
It is also a victory for Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League, the National Hockey League and the National Collegiate Athletic Association, which opposed New Jersey’s laws.
New Jersey argued that its law amounted to only a “partial repeal” of its prohibitions on sports betting, did not “license or authorize by law” such betting, and could help curb the “thriving” black market in the practice.
“Because PASPA, by its terms, prohibits states from authorizing by law sports gambling, and because the 2014 law does exactly that, the 2014 law violates federal law,” Circuit Judge Marjorie Rendell wrote. solicitors general were on opposite sides of the case, with Paul Clement arguing for the sports organizations and Theodore Olson representing New Jersey.
The case is National Collegiate Athletic Association et al v. Governor of the State of New Jersey et al, 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia said the 2014 law allowing sports betting at casinos and racetracks violated the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, a 1992 federal law prohibiting the practice in all states other than Nevada, Delaware, Montana and Oregon.
Clement was not immediately available for comment.
The ones who depend upon luck or some other esoteric method are more like lottery players than handicappers, but the thing they all have in common is that all there money goes into the same pool and some from each group will be successful while many will not.. If the success rate for handicappers is 5-10% then it is probably 1-2% for those depending upon luck.
For some people, horse racing handicapping is an intellectual sport and they prepare themselves and work hard at it. There are many more people, perhaps millions around the world, trying to make money betting on horse races depending upon luck or some other system to be a winner.
The big advantage that the handicapper has over the gambler is that he or she has an idea of each horse’s chances of winning and therefore, how much a horse has to pay to win in order to make money on such bets in the long run. The thrill of winning is probably pretty close to the same for each group, though the handicappers also have the satisfaction of working hard and getting rewarded for it.
Your chances of success are much greater if you educate yourself, prepare, practice, and work hard, but there are no guarantees. That edge is what separates gamblers from handicappers and is why, in the long run, handicappers win more, but in all fairness, they don’t just win it, they earn it.
The way you make money handicapping and betting on horse races is in finding a good bet.
On the other hand, the ones who depend upon luck invest nothing but money and very little time. The only work they do is to walk into the club house and maybe read a simple list of horses and riders. There are thousands of people trying to make a living from horse racing by handicapping the horse races and then betting on horse races

This page was last modified 12:31, 17 May 2016.
. Dozens of journalists from text, television, pictures and from domestic as well as international services, have worked to bring it up to date. The way in which we, as Reuters employees, live these values is governed by the
Reuters Code of Conduct. That code, with a few notable exceptions that apply specifically to journalists, governs the behaviour of all Reuters employees and is essential reading. It builds on the work of colleagues, too many to number over the past 150 years, whose commitment to the most ethical standards of our profession has made Reuters the outstanding news organisation it is today.
This handbook is not intended as a collection of “rules.” Beyond the obvious, such as the cardinal sin of plagiarism, the dishonesty of fabrication or the immorality of bribe-taking, journalism is a profession that has to be governed by ethical guiding principles rather than by rigid rules. As journalists, however, we have additional responsibilities if we are to fulfil the highest aspirations of our profession – to search for and report the truth, fairly, honestly and unfailingly.
The handbook, now in its second online edition and fully revised, is the work of no one individual. The latter constrain, and restrict our ability to operate. The former liberate, and lead to better journalism. Everything we do as Reuters journalists has to be independent, free from bias and executed with the utmost integrity. The National Council of Problem Gambling (NCPG) describes this type of gambling behavior as problem gambling.
? The costs of treating compulsive gamblers are huge. Because of this, they land in worse situations and take the wrong decisions in life.
? Gambling is practiced as a means of recreation. In the following sections of this Buzzle article, we discuss the negative effects of gambling on the individual and society.
? As gambling leads to increased criminal activities, in a way, gamblers add to the burden on prisons and the legal system.
Mental and physical health problems, financial issues, and conflicts in the family are among the common negative effects of gambling. Due to lost mental peace, they may ill-treat their spouse and children. Over time, it becomes a habit, and eventually an obsession that can’t be overcome. Their mental state can even lead to suicidal tendencies.
? An Austrian study said that around 1 in 5 suicidal patients had a gambling problem.
? Studies show that children with a sibling or parent addicted to gambling, are more likely to take to substance abuse.
? Additionally, rehabilitation and public assistance systems are taxed.
? Apart from absence at work and drop in efficiency, a common observation is that gamblers tend to steal money and engage in fraudulent behavior to recover from financial losses incurred when gambling, or to get more money to bet.
? Children of parents who are problem gamblers or gambling addicts tend to feel abandoned and angry, further increasing stress and leading to strained family relations.
Gambling = Thoughtless Expenditure + Waste of Time
? Gambling at the cost of one’s job results in a decline in the quality of his professional life. The stress of risking huge amounts of money or the frustration after losing it can increase the tendency of abuse in gamblers. The skill of a gambler lies in weighing the three parameters and making a decision about what amount should be staked and how much should be expected in return.
? Gamblers often exhibit mood swings and a strangely secretive behavior. Gambling refers to the betting of money on an event with an uncertain outcome, with the intent of winning additional wealth. According to the National Research Council, 10 to 17% of the children of problem gamblers have been abused and so have 25 to 50% of the partners of problems gamblers.
? The stress from gambling may lead to health issues like ulcers, stomach problems, muscle pains, headaches, and problems with sleep.
